I have a Linksys BEFSR41W collecting dust in a drawer and I came to think of it as I was browsing for a cheap wireless AP. Now, the Linksys I have has a PCMCIA slot for a WPC11 card. This allows it to act like a wireless AP. However, the WPC11 is not cheap (you can get an AP for the same price) and I don't want to spend big bucks. The WPC11 was prior to revision 4 based on the Prism 2.5 chipset, so now I'm shopping around for alternates. I think any Prism 2.5-based card would do, but I'm not too sure. Does anyone have any info on this? I know quite a few here have Linksys network appliances so before I start buying things I might as well ask.
I have a spare TI ACX100 card (D-Link DWL-something) but I'm sure as hell not putting that in the Linksys.
