Interesting to say the least. Wounder if a SLI capable version will show up. The pic doesnt' show that this card is capable of it.

Figured that would be the case. It's like using Dual CPU's.. the gains are not that high unless the application is written to take advantage of it.

I don't see how this is so exciting since Matrox did that years ago with the G400/G450 whatever the version was. That was intended to drive two monitors (with full hardware acceleration on) both and not one single monitor though.

SMP graphics...quite amusing IMHO.

I never go by synthetic benchmarks. Need some real world tests. I'm sure they will show up soon.

Well there is lots of cards that have multple gpus using ati. 2,4,8 etc. But all those cards were aimed at opengl and at professional prices.

I think this is the first consumer level cards in ages to do that.
3dfx had one too i think.

It outperformed SLI.. SLI is 2 cards (So two GPU's). Both SLI and the Dual CPU blew away the Single chip/single board.

blew away is a bit over the top your only talking 2000 difference in scores from the 6800 GT ultra I would of thought 10,000+ above a single GPU considering that there is double of everything on 2 sli cards and double GPU's on the other single cards

Some reason the other picture wasn't loading for me last night, I see it now.

However, it's still in line.

Considering 6600's are less then half the cost of a 6800, even if you go SLI (If you have a SLI board) the performance is higher are a lower cost.

I'm guessing the 6600 Dual CPU will be marginly cheaper then the 6800's, therefore making it it a better "bang" for your buck.

Like for Like, that setup blows away it's counterparts.

Apples and Oranges (It vs. the high end cards) it still out-performs. Which is still incredible IMHO.

It will be a great card for those who don't have a SLI setup, but want higher performance at a lower cost.
