Yeah having used angle grinders for quite some time, I can attest to how dangerous it is to put lateral load on thin high speed discs. They've hit me in the body before too, but usually the coveralls I wear absorb the impact fairly well. The worst one I saw was coworker A's disc shattered and a chunk flew 40 feet hitting co-worker B's gloved hand and he needed a bandaid, had a serious bruise and gimped finger for a week.

That looks fun. Risky, maybe, but fun. Looks like a great way to get a grinder for precision work (as in fine grinding), but I wouldn't want to put too much pressure on it, due to shatter risk.
