I just started magically having a problem.
Some sites give me an error saying they are busy, try again later. Which is not the case. I doubt cnn and hotmail and nydailynews.com are all busy.
Pinging results in the ip showing, then says General failure x4
other sites work fine like google and yahoo.

Any idea what the hell this is? I didnt install anything new or mess with anything yet.

could be a dns issue, wait a day or two.
try accessing the site by ip.
odds are dns issue on isp.

Nah, I got it. dns was fine because I pinged the ip itself and tried that in firefox.
Turns out peer guardian decided to start smoking crack without my permission.
