Ok heres the deal.

I currently have two 360 hooked up to a router for my boys.
360-1 has a dvd rom problem
360-2 has no known issues.

Since 360-1 is out of warranty and i am going to purchase a arcade version with the 3 year replacement warranty.

So my question is the 360-1 that is bad, i want to mod the hell out of it. new drive bigger hdd etc. i just want this xbox for my personal use no online will be needed for this one.

Can i use the modded 360-1 on a system link through the router with the other 2 xboxes. Will it being modded affect the system link portion?

Never done any of the modding before i just want to get a idea of how i can use the modded system.
