Can't say I hate them, but I'm not a fan of green olives. Black olives are better, but even those I prefer when they're minced up and not too prominent. I'd rather have little bits of black olives in a tomato-based pasta dish than just pasta and tomato sauce, but there are several things I'd prefer to the olives (like MUSHROOMS for example). I like the pimentos that come in canned green olives. I'd like to learn how to turn peppers into pimentos....so far I've made pickled green peppers and canned jalepenos, but I've had trouble extending the pepper growing season to reach the red pepper stage.
