I know theres a bit of a thread on the beta already -- but since it's releasing full version July 27, who else is in on it?

I can't wait. I've been waiting for SC2 since SC1 came out! Since it's not steam, I vote we have our RealID posted on here (if/when you get it) so we can catch up and have wicked awesome destruction of all those who are not us.

I've got 2 copies on pre-order (one for me, one for my wife). Can't wait!

Im very interested in it. but actually more for story and single campaign.
these games online, i do good first couple weeks, then people get all the crazy strats down and I suck ass.

Does the store field destroy the disk + key or do they send it back to distributor to be destroyed?

send back to the distributor. but if you scrape off or defile the key...

I've been playing this beta but I can't get into it like I did the old days and for some reason everyone is for fast build attack and destroy then next game etc etc.......I remember the good old days of SC when some games went on for 40+ mins

I knew this would happen with starcraft 2 after blizzard took such an interest in the tournament community. It's all about stats and this build vs that build. The game isn't fun unless you get to tier up and they have successfully ruined it.

Yea, I miss big game hunters and just amassing 20 air carriers n what not.
I never liked those anal precision runs.

Eh, I did all right building massive fleets of void rays. I'm mostly looking forward to the campaign, and maybe some LAN play. Never been a fan of playing against random people online.

My favourite was always trying to beat 2 or 3 vs 6 or 5 computers.

Same here. I am looking forward to rounding some of my friends up for a good old fashioned LAN party... been years since I've had/been to one, and some new Starcraft comp-stomping is in order, I think.

It's all about instant gratification today. No one has patience anymore. They don't want to work hard to get success. They want the quick and easy way.

I lost my appetite to game a few years ago, so today's games have no meaning for me.

protoss seem too over powered?

protoss always seemed over powered, till you factored in the time it took to make a zealot and how long compared to speed/cost of other grunt type.
i hated fighting the PC.
they ALWAYS went for me first and would kill me. i could be around 5 other plays vs 2 AI, and still eat death first.
but i hope to have more success, maybe even vent some online fake lan with friends.

Well realID on wow asks for the email, you stick it in and it says waiting for an ok.
then the other person accepts.
the shitty part is it adds whatever name is on your blizz account so whenever you talk to anyone it shows your whole first and last name.

But its a bit unsettling to see my own name to me. It justs seems against all internet. I would settle for William M no prob.

anyone find any pics online of the usb drive opened up or anything like that?
I want to see how feasible it is to replace and mount a diff flash drive in there.

You can get crazy big phsyically tiny thumb drives these days -- if you can get it open you can cram a new on in there easily.

I would have got this game but I went into one of our UK shops and they wanted £40 for it...I dont think its worth that and its been a while since I've seen a pc costing more than £30

It was 60 CAD for the copy I bought...seems roughly equivelant.

I'm not paying $60 Canadian for it but I heard EB was having a promotion that you can bring in two $8 used games and get it for ten bucks.

Actually, I'm going to go shower and see if that is still available.
