also get power protection, get a unit with coaxial protection cause last week a client that we did their home theater went away and came back to find his plasma hdmi ports not working, his projector hdmi not working, the pioneer elite receiver not working, and the hdmi splitter not working.
what happened was lightning struck a neighbors tree and somehow hit the underground cable station which went through his coax, into his cablebox, came out through the hdmi which fried the hdmi splitter which fried the plasma, receiver, and the projector. I just got the projector back, the tv and receiver should be back by monday or tuesday.
and don't get a cheap unit.
after that I rewired my own theater circuits with a surge protected circuit breaker and gfi receptacles.
