I have a 2nd gen ipod touch (I think). Has the external speaker. I've considered doing this, but want to get more information before I do so. Is there any negative to doing so? (Besides voiding the warranty)

thanks

Nope, if you don't like it you can just restore from itunes and it's all back to normal. My iphone is super cool with jailbreak. I use an app that tracks me on google latitude when ever a significant change of location happens my phone updates and the people I want to have see my location can track me down. This app was rejected by the appstore because of the obvious security concerns with the general Apple population. I also have another app that lets me wireless sync to itunes with out having to plugin my cable.

Seriously try it out, do some research to find the most useful apps and I promise you will love it.

Jailbreak'd the ipod amazingly easy. just going to a website via the browser. I dont have a phone so the google latitude one wouldnt work, (i dont think) but the wireless sync one would be sweet

From what Ive heard you can break the 3rd gens. You dont even need an app now apparently, just go to the hax0rz website and it just does it on its own. semi creepy
