Do you like your Eee PC (aside from the black screen)? It's the only netbook I've been interested in.

Sounds like HAL got upset. I had the same issue + auto reboot cycle hell when I decided to reset my BIOS. Took a full CMOS clear to rectify the issue.

Now with my Acer splayed on the table, I found that you can clear the CMOS by manual wire jumpering two triangles on the mainboard.

HAL is stupid evil.

Looking up problems for Windows when it won't boot, is so incredibly dangerous on the internet (drinking, makes sense..). Its like everyone is total idiots. None of the answers make any sense, and none work. The solution is always a giant WTF does that have to do with anything. Ah.. Windows. You always surprise me bitch. We should marry and code up some kids.

I've found posting on Reddit helps, at least it gets you going down a path of possibilities, before the trolls hit.

What OS is that thing running? Hardware specs? Model? I would think it would run XP or maybe Win7 Starter. You really need at least 2GB of RAM for Win7.
