Way, way, way more story/background on main character than ever before. Remember how Batman Begins was so detailed in story and such in comparison to the previous Batman films? That's what's going on here. And like BB, it's a little TOO much story for me personally.
There's a lot of FMV cutscenes.
Controls are used mostly holding the Wiimote horizontally, just like old school NES controller-style (with the exception of pointing at screen for missile firing), I dig that.
Targeting/aiming feels a tad "assisted" as in other games such as Super Mario galaxy.. I guess with the rotating cameras and not having a joystick on the Wiimote and such there's no better way to do this.
This is mostly a 2d platformer in 3D.
Graphics so far have been decent. I wouldn't say they're better than the prime series, but no worse in some parts either.
This is being billed as the true sequel to Super Metroid. It does pick up after it chronologically yes, and is a fun game, but IMHO if you want the best followup with most similar game play look at Metroid Fusion.
Granted, I'm only on first level... so far it's decent.
