Hopefully this is the right area for this question. I decided to tag all of my AVI files with directors, actors, etc. I found a program called ABCAVI but the IMDB portion is not working the program is 5 years old so that can be expected. Does anyone know another program that can help me tag my files? Doing it all manually is not going to be fun. Thanks in advance, oh and HEY EVERYONE long time!

only two I found, abcavi is the most found one but it being old, if you want the imdb option, if there is a setting or ii file that you can edit then you can use another lookup engine.

there is also a free app called mymovies, it's a addin for mce but they have a stand alone version for keeping records and info. not sure if it will tag the video but you could use the interface to load the info and play from it.

Yeah I tried that setting in ABC but it uses email to send off and get back from IMDB and I am sure that service is no longer around since I have never even heard of it. Thanks HB for digging in. I am going to check out that second link. The reason for all this is that I picked up an WDTV Live Plus today and saw that some of the ways to view movies is by actor or director so wanted to add this into it.

I think my movies will at least get you all the info you need.
and serve as a catalog too.

what I like about mymovies is the database among users is huge along with the cover art and actors, and director details.it'll also search imdb and other resources for info too.

there's another app called mymovies which is just a catalog app
I think it also searches imdb it will allow yu to play video right from the app i think but like some movies come in two parts, i believe there is a option to allow or configure it to play one file after the other. otherwise you have to join both videos and the catch with that is trying to get a seamless join.
