We have one of these at work that we assigned to be our print workstation. Extremely slow machine- ignore the dual descriptor and think about the Pentium III days, THAT's what the experience is like here. My coworker and I were looking at it and joking the best thing about it is the case.
That computer was cutting edge almost 10 years ago, today that price I wouldn't touch it- $150 maybe if it was immaculately kept. Pre-Intel Macs are so slow, they drive me crazy. Macs like this do tend to hold market value a little more than PC's do.
If you're looking for one for garage band to keep costs down... I might recommend looking for a good used imac or Mac mini or going the Hackintosh route.
