A website I plan on ordering all the parts I need to do the brakes on my truck is having a promotion, and they will give you 10% off total order and free shipping if you make your purchase within 24 hours of your first visit to the website.

Question is, do they have a log that knows the first time I visited their site or is it a cookie on my computer? I know I have been on the site before, a month ago or so.

It could save me close to $100 if I can use the promotion code.

Not sure what they would be using, but you could always use a proxy, or you could go to a starbucks or something and go to their site on a different browser than you usually use.

it could be a cookie, they could track it by your pc name, mac address, ip.

if you delete your cookies that would solve it.
change your computer name that will solve it.
mac address, install a different network card would solve that.
ip, if static the above three would work. if dynamic they ain't got shit.

keep in mind cookies aren't the only way they track you.
