I found this lying at the bottom of my case today (attached pic). It apparently isn't vital to the function of the puter, considering I'm not having any problems. Looks like maybe it's the PC speaker? Or maybe FBI bug?

that's a pc speaker.
on your mobo there is are speaker pins right near the power sw, reset , and hd led pins.

now plug it back in so I can spy on you.*LOL*

I thought they were usually attached a bit more securely than just something plugged in and flopping around on a wire.

I never use them, got tired of people asking me what the beeps mean like I'm the fucking computer whisperer.

customer: what does the beep mean?
harryb: it's telling you to turn it off and find something you can learn.

I guess as long as I'm having no troubles I'll just leave it. If things go bad I can then plug it in and hope maybe it will give me a beep beep message I can google to find the trouble.
