I thought it was pushing it when they jumped from 4.0 to 5.0 in a couple of months.

I visited a website a few minutes ago that told me I have an out-of-date browser and should update Firefox.

I went to mozilla, and they're already on 7.0?!?

Are they following the old Slackware move of jumping numbers just so they won't appear to be behind the competition?

I have it now too, but damned if that isn't some ridiculous upgrade behavior.

I'm finding this new one a little sluggish when accessing websites I sometimes have to come out and refresh pages in order to get it to load?

I was like wtf, did I sleep through a few versions?
it seems a bit slow. I just use it for the soccer skins and soccer plugins.

Version 7 reduced the memory footprint. That's all I know. A lot of issues can be cause by extensions. Anyways I have found 7 to be vastly more stable that 6 was.

Just noticed Thunderbird made an even larger version number jump, also to 7.0.1, presumably to stay in balance with Firefox.

I haven't noticed any problems, or even much difference, with FF 7 so far. The one thing I did notice right away I was very pleased with: They returned to giving focus to the address bar when opening a new tab/window. That was annoying to have to manually switch focus every time.

Still waiting for them to include a filter or search in the cookies allow/block list. It's a pain to have to scroll through it when you discover a certain blocked site needs to be unblocked.

Heh, I noticed the jump and thought Wow I used to be so good at staying on top of updates.

I'm amazed at how well FF/Thunderbird have both come along.

Firefox is like having a hot neighbor chick you can do all kinds of funky things with, without the fear of STDs.
