I am running Linux-Mandrake 8.0 and i was just wondering how the hell do i use Wine..? i successfully installed it but how would i run my games, programs, etc.. (especially when i still have windows on there, i do have a windows directory on my linux partition to go into the other one)...can someone help me ..?

hi I don't know much about wine or linux for that matter but I did have an understanding that games couldn't be played on wine until the directX clone project they were working on is finished.

You can forget about gaming with wine.. the only game you can run with it is probably minesweeper ;) I have a dual boot system with windows for gaming (still can't get rid of it!) and linux for everything else. There are some linux ports of some popular games, see LokiGames. BTW, anyone got some of these? I've been looking for the linux port of Q3A.

WINE is the best IMHO. You could try vmware though, it's an interesting project.

Now if you want to talk real wine, a nice Cabernet Sauvignon, a glass of Fitou or a bottle of Shiraz then fine, otherwise stop drawing me into posts that have nothing to do with the subject ;O)
