To tell u the truth, I prefer pages that are more straight forward like that one.. gfx interfaces and flash gizmo's are all well and cool, but for functionality, a good designed text webpage is mucho ezier to use, imo

I like the direction you're going Compact, but the page is awfully busy...might I suggest cutting down on the black borders and removing the orange dots next to menu and headlines. Also, a color scheme based around darker blues might be more appealing, though it might require your changing the font color.

That's just my take...

I was thinking about the black borders and I got rid of some and then brought them back about 8 or 9 times until I finally decided to keep them... Your right I wish I had gone with a little bit darker blue or perhaps white and the bright blue...

It is very hard to make graphics for a site like it...
