I'm holding out on buying a new video card until AFTER Doom 3 comes out. I'm hoping to be able to run this game at 1024x768 or better. I read in this months PC Gamer that even the fastest card on the market - the 9700 - only runs Doom 3 at 800x600. I know that the game is not finished and that optimizations will probably help that somewhat. But I'm still interested in knowing what card is supposed to dethrone the 9700? What's NVidia got cooking? And is there any word on a MSRP? Thanks

wait until this graphics card war is over... most of these cards that are going to be coming out are only going to be a difference of 5 to 10% speed increase so your best bet is to see who wins the war and then get the card that is just below the newest...

most bang for your buck.
