Right, because I've got a dynamic IP I want to setup a dynamic DNS. I've read some posts on this subject before, but I can't remember what I gotta do.

Can anyone point me in the right direction........and is there subscriptions involved? - I'm looking for a *free* way of doing it if possible.

dnsart.com is what i use & it's free works great it updates you ip every 2 min or 30 what ever you set it to
I'v run this for about 4 months never had a lick of trouble with it

I use no-ip

After I assign my IP address to the DNS I don't even have to run the freaken program its great.

CM what update your dynamic ip ??

its in the network..... The program they give you sends your DNS information and your IP information to your account....

Thats all you need... I can reboot without running the program though, maybe a reg key or something.

lol it's free the only catch is you can buy your domain name
or upgrade from free to there premium server that allows you to point more then one domain name to your ip

Ive got about 6 of they're domains pointing to my computers

it's cool though. but not something I'll stick with.. I dont get how dns stuff works, kinda confusing actually.
