Here's the situation: We have no cable, but I have a 64MB radeon that can do video out. Therefore, we can watch dvds and divx's, etc on the tv.

The annoyance associated with this: I have to restart the computer to change between tv-out and normal modes. When it's in TV out mode, I can only run at 800x600 resolution. Also, I can't do anything with the computer when someone wants to watch a movie on the tv.

I have two video cards, but they're both agp! grrr...

Possible solution: I found a $100 GF4 64MB DDR PCI video card with tv-out. For those of you with multi-mon experience (especially m2h), is this worth it? Will it solve the problems as I stated above? will I be able to make an application (like power dvd) run on the PCI video card (and thus on the tv), while the current vid card can run normal computer operations? Will I have the ability to stick in a movie whenever I want and not have to restart the computer? And will I have my normal resolution in the current video card when the other one is doing tv-out?
